When shovels break ground, you never know what they might unearth or affect. With Catherine’s support as Technical Director Archaeology and Heritage & Environmental Specialist Services Lead, our clients can better predict and plan for the fulfilment of their obligations. With over 25 years’ experience, she provides project lifecycle advice and technical management to our clients, managing their assessment and fieldwork requirements, and building great stakeholder relationships.
Her priority is applying sensitivity and respect to the client’s needs and those of heritage and environmental resources. She is especially proud of the Grassholme Reservoir Project, where her proactive assessment and innovative specialised archaeological techniques enabled work to proceed while bringing a nationally significant Neolithic-Bronze Age settlement in the North Pennines to life. She is excited about learning from past behavior in the face of climate and landscape change to better manage our modern natural and lived environment.
Outside work, you’ll find her curled up with a good book, doing Pilates or enjoying time with her family and menagerie.
