As a transportation engineer, Mark sees his role in leading design teams as an opportunity to give back to the public by providing safe and efficient multi-modal transportation solutions that improve mobility for all users. He enjoys using the transportation infrastructure he designs, whether as a driver, pedestrian, cyclist, or rider, seeing and feeling how all the details—large and small—come together to create a unique experience.
Mark has 18 years of experience planning, designing, and supporting a variety of transportation projects from large freeway corridors, to regional pathways, and everything in between. He’s been involved in a wide range of delivery methods including traditional design/bid/build, and alternative project delivery models such as design/build and design/build/finance/operate. In 2019, Mark and the project team received two CEA Awards of Excellence for the TransCanada Highway/Bowfort Road Interchange project.
Outside of work, Mark loves spending time with his family. In the summer, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and golfing, and in the winter, skiing and playing hockey.
