As the drive to adopt renewable energy, like solar generating, picks up pace, the technology is changing too. With more than 10 years’ experience as an electrical designer, Chris is always looking for innovative solutions to make renewable energy systems more efficient, adaptable, and “smarter.”
His primary line of work is design and construction administration services with the renewable energy and buildings sector, particularly solar. He has been responsible for the study and design of low and medium voltage distribution and layouts on ground mount, rooftop, and canopy solar (PV) farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and PV system solar production analysis. He currently leads upfront electrical design for several gigawatts of solar and battery energy storage projects.
He is proud that his design work in the renewable energy markets will help provide clean energy, not only for the residents of the communities it serves, but for generations to come. Away from analyzing and designing energy systems, Chris recharges with a round of golf and playing out in the yard with his two sons.
