The Better Together Joint Venture (B2GJV) is proud to announce it has been selected as successful proponent to partner with Sydney Water as its Regional Delivery Consortium (RDC) for the West Region, awarded under the Partnering for Success (P4S) Program.
The B2GJV consortium comprises experienced infrastructure contractors Fulton Hogan and Abergeldie teaming up with maintenance & facility management provider Programmed and engineering firms Stantec and Atlas.
Under the RDC West contract, B2GJV will deliver design, construction, maintenance and facility management services for the next 10 years across Sydney Water’s water, wastewater and recycled water systems extending from Sydney’s inner west suburbs out to the Blue Mountains including the Western Sydney Growth Area and part of the North West Growth Centre.
The P4S Program’s vision is to position Sydney Water as a water business of the future by creating a better life for customers and communities across its network.
At the signing ceremony on Thursday 19 December, Sydney Water’s Paul Plowman - General Manager Liveable City Solutions said, “Sydney Water’s new partnerships are the first in Australia to use the New Engineering Contract 4 (NEC4) suite of contracts, which incentivise efficiency, consistency and innovation. We’re excited to kick off these 10-year partnerships, because we know they will benefit our customers – delivering value through efficiency, innovation, collaboration and shared knowledge.”
The P4S program provides a framework for Sydney Water and its partners to work closely and productively together to deliver on the vision.
B2GJV’s Program Director Steve Hall said, ‘We look forward to working with Sydney Water over the next decade to successfully establish P4S as a model for delivering high performance, productivity and certainty of supply to their customers.’
‘Our consortium partners are not only bringing their extensive skills and diverse experience to the table, they are committed to developing a collaborative and sustainable relationship with Sydney Water to ensure the success of this long-term program of work.
