Finding the balance between form and function can be especially challenging in northern climates
What matters most when designing buildings for Alaska’s harsh climate—form or function? Finding the proper balance is a “kind of wonderful puzzle,” says Erik Dukes, an architect in our Fairbanks office. When pieced together correctly, Dukes says, it creates a building that benefits both the client and the community.
