Setting the groundwork for the continued development of a new community
The Bingara Gorge urban development project is a residential subdivision creating a new community within the township of Wilton around 80 kilometres southwest of Sydney. A masterplanned community, the development covers approximately 50 hectares with a mix of residential, retail, schools, conservation areas, open space uses, and a golf course.
When we were engaged to project-manage all stages of subdivision works, our work consisted of undertaking all civil engineering design works. Our team liaised with, and achieved, approvals with Council and other public authorities and ran a program of community consultation. We managed sub-consultants to test all design parameters and inform the detailed civil and services design, coordinated the construction certificate process, and provided supervision support during construction.
In addition to providing project management services, our team was also involved in the delivery of much of the infrastructure required for the development. We helped deliver transport infrastructure that included roads, bridges, and traffic signals, and water infrastructure—that included ponds, sewerage pump stations, and trunk water mains, as well as electricity substations.
