A chartered geologist with 34 years’ experience in geotechnical, mining, and environmental projects, in some of the harshest environments, it might take an epic movie to adequately convey Andy’s career. His work has taken him to projects in Queensland, the Northern Territory, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia—ranging in size from small private developments, to multi-billion-dollar projects for mining, and large-scale defence and infrastructure.
Always welcoming responsibility, Andy was a regional manager with 250 staff at an age when many are just starting their careers. He is proud of his ability to see the whole picture of a situation and has helped numerous businesses restoring them to profitability. Since arriving in Australia in 1998, he has applied this broad spectrum of experience to suit local conditions. His understanding of geomorphology and its engineering or environmental development implications for projects has been widely utilised in the mining regions of PNG, Queensland, and the Northern Territory.
A keen ornithologist, and collector and repairer of clocks, Andy also travels extensively and keeps a fine garden.
