Based in the mountainous terrain along the south coast of New South Wales, David’s work as a senior principal geotechnical engineer primarily involves slope instability and the stabilisation of road and rail infrastructure. He strives to provide value to clients through proper risk assessment, knowing this results in the correct allocation of public funding to aid the longevity of government infrastructure. He also serves as a first responder to landslide emergencies.
David is a trusted advisor in landslide and ground characterisation, slope stability remediation, geomorphological slope mapping, construction supervision, and geotechnical investigation. He has used this know-how recently with a slope remediation strategic design along Oxley Highway where he has been dealing with large-scale landslides with the client, requiring creative optioneering to find the best possible solutions.
When he’s not out providing geotechnical advice, David likes to go to the beach and can be found fishing, surfing, or hiking.
