A renowned, award-winning expert in hydrology, Brett’s career spans more than 37 years of service managing a wide range of projects in all states of Australia, as well as in Singapore, Malaysia, and China. He sees his dedication to his field as a response to ever increasing pressures on water resources locally and globally.
He is an author of more than 200 papers published in international and Australian conference proceedings and journals on sustainable development, integrated catchment management, flooding and floodplain management, and hydrology. Brett also co-authored the Australian Runoff Quality Guidelines released by Engineers Australia in 2006.
Brett is proud to serve his profession. One of his career highlights is having served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) from 2016 to 2019 as the Director, representing members in 173 countries. Outside of work commitments, Brett enjoys reading and travel overseas.
