Geordie supports the southeast and our National Environment and Geosciences business groups in Australia with strategic direction and growth. As well as working with both emerging professionals and experienced practitioners for more than 20 years, he provides technical direction and guidance to our Contaminated Land team and other disciplines where groundwater, geochemistry, land, and water quality issues are encountered.
Recently, Geordie was part of a five-year program where he independently monitored the environmental performance of a major base metals mine in the Northern Territory. The team comprised a variety of technical specialists who presented findings to the local community, the mine, and the Northern Territory government—who were also subject to review.
When he isn’t overseeing contaminated land projects, you might find Geordie enjoying live music like Midnight Oil or browsing vinyl stores—he likes to collect music. He also likes to sink himself into a good crime fiction or history book. One day, he would very much love to travel the former Roman Empire domains, especially across north Africa.
