A senior principal environmental geoscientist and certified environmental practitioner with site contamination specialist accreditation, Danny has logged over 20 years in the field of environmental science. With extensive experience as a program manager and project director, he focuses on major industrial and infrastructure development, site assessment, management, and remediation—and he leads our Melbourne Contaminated Land team.
Danny's most known for the assessment and remediation of a former marine terminal in regional Victoria, near a Ramsar protected wetland, with significant legacy hydrocarbon impacts. He’s proud of his role in the remediation of the site where, with a lower energy consumption compared to other methods, soil washing was chosen as a more sustainable remediation approach. The result to date? Most of the material remained onsite rather than being disposed offsite, with the benefit of zero injuries during the thousands of hours of work at the site.
When he’s not at work, Danny enjoys overseas holidays, visiting America, Canada, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, and Europe with his family. He’s passionate about outdoor adventures—hiking (Western Arthurs in Tasmania, Everest Base Camp, winter traverse of the Overland Track in Tasmania), an alpine marathon at Falls Creek, mountain biking, and multi-sport adventure races.
