Simon’s career as a structural engineer began with Stantec in 2009. In the earlier years of his development, he was responsible for structural design across projects in Perth and regional Western Australia (WA).
Since achieving Engineers Australia’s Chartered status, Simon is currently a project tehchnical lead in our Perth office’s structural team. He has worked on a variety of high-profile projects where his role extended to leading project teams and providing integrated structural advice. Notably, his work on the Aria Apartments—luxury living that redefined the way developers looked at apartments in WA by investment in common lifestyle areas—won an award for excellence in high-density developments in 2016.
Outside of work Simon treasures his time with Mandy, baby daughter, Jaydee, and Westie, Buzz. His perfect Saturday would include social soccer, watching the West Coast Eagles win, and a glass of McLaren Vale shiraz to accompany a few tunes on his piano.
