With more than 25 years’ experience using geospatial information for railway surveying, Julian has grown his career alongside the technology. His role now includes management of operational requirements, staff allocations, business development, staff mentoring, and project management of our geospatial team. He is responsible for all aspects of geospatial railway projects including tender preparation and reviews, contract negotiations, project management, business development, Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) assessment and compliance, and final approval of all data and deliverables.
With better survey data and experienced interpretation come better rail lines, which can enhance efficiency and reduce wear and tear on equipment. Julian values good communication and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders in all levels of government and the private sector associated with rail maintenance and development in New South Wales. He enjoys working on diverse projects such as the Kingsgrove to Revesby Quadruplication, Water Delivery Alliance, Sydney Light Rail, and South Western Metro.
Outside of work, Julian enjoys sailing, swimming, scuba diving, and skiing.
