Transport-Oriented Communities

Creating communities

Anchored by public transport, transport-oriented development (TOD) is a key component to supporting compact, walkable, and healthier communities which contribute to a greater quality of life for residents. But what happens when development is centered around people? We get transport-oriented communities (TOC).

Transport-oriented community planning and design takes a wider look at the complexity of transport-focused neighbourhoods. From higher numbers of commuters on a new transport line to better housing choice and improved economic opportunity, we believe context is key. It’s important to consider the whole picture when planning and designing an equitable and sustainable TOC.

We take a thoughtful approach that catalyses transport, development, community, and infrastructure—all with an eye to equitable solutions that work for everyone.
